Hair should be at least 1/4 inch long so the wax can grip properly. Avoid shaving or trimming for at least two weeks before your appointment, and gently exfoliate the day before. Arrive fresh and wear loose clothing afterwards to reduce irritation. Stop topical retinoids seven days before and seven days after waxing. If you have taken isotretinoin (Accutane), wait six months after stopping and obtain a doctor’s note before waxing. Waxing is allowed during pregnancy; for the final two months, check with your doctor if you have concerns. Tattoos are fine; piercings within the wax area may need to be removed or worked around. We do not wax sunburned, broken, or inflamed skin. Guests under 18 require parental consent.
